In Japan, "mino" (straw raincoats) were worn over clothes to protect against rain as one of the traditional rain gear.
These raincoats were made from water-repellent rice leaves, mimicking nature's water-repelling structure. TEIJIN's technology has transformed this natural water repellency into a cutting-edge textile.

Caution!
Oils from hand cream or hair wax are strictly prohibited.

It is very sensitive to oil. If you close the umbrella with hands that have hand cream or hair wax on them, the water repellency will weaken. Therefore, if your hands have oil on them when you are out, gently shake off raindrops, lightly fold the umbrella by holding the strap (called "do-name") that secures it, and carry it for peace of mind.

After use, we recommend air-drying it overnight in the shade before storing.
